This Tuesday 13th November 2018, we have the results for the Inter Club Competition with Forres Camera Club.
We will be hosting the results of the competition with a few members of Forres Camera Club attending so feel free to say hello and make them all feel welcome.

This evening will be a practical night on Editing your Images.
The club meeting will start earlier then usual at 7pm on Tuesday 30th October 2018. This is due to the large entry in Round 1 of our competition league and additional time will be required for our judge, John Macgregor to provide his critique on the images entered.

The 30th October is the last hand in date for entries into Round 2 – Theme is Nature.
Due to a book sale in Elgin Library, SPG group will meet at Elgin Academy on Tue 23rd October 2018 at the usual time of 7:30pm.
As this is a practical portrait shoot, bring your camera along.
We had a great turnout again tonight as we welcomed our first guest speaker to SPG.
John Paul – Commercial Photographer, who gave an excellent talk on his photography career, firstly as a newspaper photographer then as a commercial photographer which is now his main focus. It was very informative and gave a great insight into the world of commercial photography. As well as a presentation he brought along some large prints of his work and gave an insight into the setup for these shots.
The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all members present.

A reminder that the hand in for the 1st Round of the Small Print Competition closes at Midnight on 02 October 2018.
You can enter a maximum of 3 images.
As all images will count towards points for the Small Print Competition it is advisable to enter 3 images in all 3 rounds.
5. Small Print Competition
A. The competition will be held over three rounds during each season.
1. A maximum of 3 prints may be entered in each round.
2. No print may be entered more than once during the competition.
3. Prints are not to be mounted and the sizes allowed are as follows
4. Minimum size is 152 mm x 104 mm (6 in x 4 in)
5. Maximum print size is 190 mm x 190 mm (7.5 in x 7.5 in)
6. Any previous winner of the Small Print Competition, or any previous winner of the Group League Competition may not enter.
7. A local judge or club member (who has not entered in the competition) may judge the Small Print Competition.
8. In the event of a tie for the highest total points, placing in the individual rounds will be calculated to determine the winner. Points will be awarded as follows: – Round Winner – 3 points, Runner Up – 2 points and Third Place – 1 point.
