The health of our members is very important and due to the latest guidance from the government issued today regarding the Coronavirus it is with regret that the SPG committee has decided to cancel all further meetings this season.

The AGM will be scheduled at a later date to be advised.

Guest Speaker – Kim Grant

Last night we had guest speaker Kim Grant giving us a presentation on Landscape Photography and it was brilliant. We really wanted Kim to come to the club and do a talk for a few reasons, her passion and enthusiasm for photography as well as the fact that Kim is a local lass and loves taking pictures on the Moray Coast, so her approach to photography is something we can all relate to as well. We really hope you enjoyed it as I know that Kim loved coming to see us all at SPG and I’m sure we will be asking Kim to come back for another captivating presentation.

We really hope you have been inspired by Kim to get out with your camera and take some fantastic landscapes and seascapes.

Tuesday 12/11/2019 – Light Painting

This Tuesday we have Painting With Light with Michael Ross, and his glamorous assistant Thomas Thain (lol) who has kindly offered toff his pixel stick to the members.  For those that were there last year it was great fun and was suggested and encouraged by members to be put in for this year’s syllabus.  Seeing as we have such a great place to do this at the Golf Club we would like members to take a light of any sort and colour and if we have time to get into groups of 5, find a safe space and try doing it yourselfs.  Michael and Tommy will be on hand to help.

Remember to bring your camera with a fully charged battery and empty memory card. A tripod and remote shutter release as well if you have one.

Come and show us your creativity 😀.

Club Night – Tue 29th Oct Small Print Results Round 1

What a great night it was tonight. A huge thank you to Tom McCulloch for judging the first round of the Small Prints and giving our members very honest feedback on their entries and also thanks to Iain Rollo for his presentation on the Ospreys at lossie and Aviemore.

The Small Print Results are available on the SPG PhotoEntry website.

With only one week to go for pictures to be submitted for the Dallas Dhu Open Day you still have time to get something in, even if its just one picture. Also on the 16th November please try to come along as well to support members who have entered and have some fun as well.

Thanks again to Tom and Iain.

Thanks Everyone
